Macraweave Wall Hanging No. 1

$180.00

No. 1 is the first of the Macraweave Wall Hanging Collection of fiber art by Nathalie.

This piece is abstract, boasts mixed media, and incorporates macrame knotting with traditional weaving. This collection of woven wall hangings aims to explore the range of natural fiber textures. From tight, rough hemp to a light, fluffy wool roving, they all take shape into a soothing piece and juxtapose against one another in harmony.

The inspiration for this piece came from Bryce Canyon National Park where the artist was mesmerized by how soft the clouds are that surround such rocky terrain. The wall hanging has become a visual of the Lord's soft peace that surpasses understanding amid rocky tribulation. And shows that, somehow, it can all come together in a beautiful one-of-a-kind way.
